As I watched the fireworks take off in Congress Park in Saratoga, N.Y., I couldn’t help but think of what an amazing year 2014 was. It was the year that my career took off. Looking back at my old resume, my current one has transformed in such a way that it doesn’t even seem real. I attained my first internship and two more followed. My involvement with PRSSA and Business Management Club evolved, and I joined the media and marketing team at Campus Recreation. It seemed that one thing lead to the next, as I landed my liaison position with PRSA CNY in Syracuse and became an assistant to a PR professional, furthering my skills and opening my eyes to an area of public relations I never really knew existed.
I was sad to see 2014 end, but I am excited for what’s to come in 2015. By the end of this year, I will have graduated, and there’s quite a few things I hope to accomplish before then. I intend to work hard, but enjoy the last moments I will have with my friends before entering the real world.
