Below is a quote from June 30, 2013:
“Applied to the Public Relations program at Oswego State and got in. Next step of my life in which I start in less than two months. You may ask, how do you go from engineering to PR? Well, I love to write but I also want to change myself, in the way that I want to take the shy, no risk-taker, self conscience teenager that I am, throw her out the window, and force her to take a step outside the boundaries and live up the potential I know she has somewhere hidden down inside herself. I want to take advantage of all that life has to offer…so my journey starts now :)”
Somewhat corny? That’s for sure! However, it is also a moment to look back at and admire to the fullest. It is crazy to think about how much has changed since I first wrote this. I am entering my senior year at SUNY Oswego and I have changed so much over the past couple years. Oswego has opened me up to the most amazing opportunities and I couldn’t have asked more from my experiences. It’s true – I was a very shy person. However, I have been able to push myself and grow in ways that I never thought I would. I have come a long way and still have a way to go, but I am ready for the challenge!
Below I am pictured in my dorm room at Worcester Polytechnic Institute my freshmen year of college…
